About Mere Whaanga

Mere has been quietly working through her retirement in Mahia, tucked away in her little beach villa. Her passion remains art, llustration, and historical research; new works are under way for children’s books, young adult literature, and non-fiction historical books.

Rainbird Books is her publishing outlet, with all sorts of wonderful things planned for 2023 and the future- new titles in fiction and historical research, plus 2nd editions of classics like A Carved Cloak for Tahu.
